Loudoun International Youth Leadership Summit
"Reconcile the Past, Shape the Future: Building Peace Within and Among Nations"
March 27 - April 4, 2017
The Loudoun Education Foundation is excited to support the Loudoun International Youth Leadership Summit (LIYLS), a global peer-to-peer experience that is 21st century learning at its finest. Students from around the world descend on Loudoun to take on global issues like access to education, the environment, migration and refugees, and racial and ethnic divisions. The opening ceremony was on Monday, March 27th at Dominion High School. Joan Trumpauer Mulholland, Freedom Rider and Civil Rights Activist was the main speaker. Read more
The International Summit includes students from: Australia, Austria, Chile, China, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Mexico, Norway, The Netherlands, Poland, Republic of Korea, Romania, Scotland, Singapore, South Africa, Spain and Tanzania.
