The Loudoun Education Foundation and Loudon County Public Schools will celebrate oustanding academic achievement in social sciene and global studies in grades 6-12 on Thursday, June 4. Guest speaker Farah Al-Khafaji, a survirvor of the Saddam Hussein regime and the war in Iraq, will speak to students, parents and educators. Two days after summer break begins, hundreds of LCPS teachers will be back in the classroom at Rock Ridge HS for the ActivLoudoun Plus workshop sponsored by Microsoft.
